Our Approach

Understanding Traditional Indirect Methods of Resource Exploration

Traditional resource exploration methods rely on indirect indicators such as seismic, magnetic, gravity, and geological interpretation to infer the possible presence of subsurface deposits. While these approaches can theoretically cover large areas and provide valuable structural context, they often require multiple surveys, complex modeling, and extensive drilling to validate results. For these reasons, indirect surveys are often limited to relatively small areas.

Because they measure proxies rather than the resource itself, they can produce ambiguity, higher costs, longer timelines, and increased exploration risk. As a result, companies may invest significant capital before confirming whether economically viable deposits are actually present.
